Today we continue our definitive countdown of the top 25 JAV stars of the past decade. Up today, the 20th – 16th top Japanese women to get nasty on camera in the past 10 years.

Top JAV Stars of the Decade: 20 – 16

20: Ai Kurosawa (2001 – 2008)

Ai Kurosawa was one of the top porn stars of the early part of the decade. She was known for her fit figure combined with her lovely G-Cup breasts. At the time, busty girls like Ai were not as common as they are now. Ai made her debut with Alice Japan in 2001. She retired in 2006, but she made a small comeback in 2007. She eventually did some uncensored work before disappearing from the JAV scene for good. In the year of Ai’s debut, she was selected as the top AV actress in the 2001 Takeshi Kitano Entertainment Awards (yes, the Takeshi Kitano). In 2003, she won the best actress award at the 2003 SOD Awards.

19: Akira Watase (2000 – 2005)

In my opinion, Akira Watase is one of the most gorgeous women to have ever worked in JAV. She had a nice slender body, a cute face, and the most amazing legs ever seen in porn. If you are a legs guy, you have to check out Akira Watase! Akira also did a couple low quality uncensored movies before her retirement.

18. Rio (aka Tina Yuzuki) (2005 – present)

I don’t think Rio needs much of an introduction here. She’s proven to be very popular in JAV City polls. Combining her cute, exotic half-Portuguese looks with excellent performances, Rio has risen to become one of the biggest superstars in JAV today. Rio was named the best new actress at the 2006 AV Actress Grand Prix Awards, she won best actress at the 2008 SkyPerfect TV Adult Broadcasting awards, and she was featured in S1’s 2009 AVGP award winning movie along with Yuma Asami.

17. Kurumi Morishita (1998 – 2008)

Kurumi Morishita was the first major JAV stars I saw do hardcore lesbian action. She is one of the top all-time performers in the lesbian genre in JAV. She also loves the cock though, and is an equally great performer with male co-stars. During the early part of the decade, Kurumi was SOD’s top star and was known as Queen of the Indies.

16. Bunko Kanazawa (1997 – 2009)

Bunko Kanazawa was one of the first Japanese porn stars I came across. If this was an all-time list rather than just looking at the past decade, she would easily be in the top 10. A lot of her best work came before 2000 though. Bunko announced her retirement in 2005, but she released a few uncensored videos the following year. She eventually came back to mainstream JAV near the end of 2007 and continued to work sporadically for the next year and a half.
